Mid October this year Thalassa leaves again with a group of HAVO and VWO students (plus accompaniment) for a six-month trip. The sailing adventure starts in The Netherlands from where the ship sets sail to Tenerife, subsequently sails to Cabo Verde, Dominica, Curacao, Panama, Cuba, Bermuda and returns after a crossing of the Atlantic Ocean back to the Azores heading back towards The Netherlands. A unique experience, six months away from home and school with education on board. The combination of school, sailing, expedition and teamwork has made this project a great success for many years now, providing young people with an experience that is indescribable, a once in a lifetime experience. Bordeaux festival
STI Races
Whisky again!After the STI races, the ship will leave for Scotland again in early August, where we will be making beautiful trips for exclusive groups and cruises for over a month, which can be booked via our website. Our trips in this summer are just like the spring trips quickly fully booked. It is for this reason that we have added an extra trip to our offer, the trip from 3-10 September. Those who do not want to miss this opportunity are advised to secure a place on board at short notice via our website. Last but certainly not least, Wilhelmshaven CupA good tradition, our annual participation in this maritime event in the North Sea. It is possible to hire the ship for receptions during this event, but it is also possible to participate in the various short trips planned for Thalassa. The agenda for this year can be found on the website of Wilhelmshaven Cup. We hope that we have given you an idea of the beautiful sailing year that we (hopefully) have in store for you. In the beginning of May Thalassa leaves for Scotland (after a major maintenance) to charm her guests with the splendour of Scotland. There will be sailing, good food and of course a lot of tasting and learning about the Scottish whisky, right at the source. After a postponement because of Corona in 2020, we are finally going to Bordeaux to participate in the famous Bordeaux Wine festival from 23-26 June. A wine trip afterwards is unfortunately not possible this year but perhaps we can include a wine trip for 2023 in the program again. Again, might you be interested, please 
Again Thalassa will be present during the next magnificent Sail Training International event starting in Esbjerg in July, followed by a sailing race to Harlingen. After the in-port event in Harlingen (Thalassa's home port) we will sail on to the beautiful city of Antwerp where we can count on a nice and special event at our southern neighbours. After Antwerp follows another frequently and gladly visited port, Aalborg, where the in-port event Sail Aalborg will take place.
