Recently Tallship Thalassa has departed with the youngsters of School at Sea. We will share the course of this voyage (and hopefully many wonderful stories about it) in the Thalassa journals that we will prepare for you in the coming months.

Now it is time for the staff at home to inform you about a number of special trips that Thalassa will make in 2022 and 2023 in this autumn edition of our Thalassa journal.

2022 and 2023: Whisky in Scotland!

Our newest whisky journey for 2023 is online now, planned from 13-20th of May 2023. If you want to be assured of a place on board during this special trip, we recommend that you do not wait too long with your decision. Bordeaux – Esbjerg, June 26th - July 7th, 2022

Summer cruise along Europe's most beautiful islands

To make a beautiful cruise it is not necessary to fly halfway around the world. From 26 June to 7 July we sail from Bordeaux to Esbjerg.
Those who like it will be able to help with the sailing of the ship, while under the expert guidance of the crew the sails will be trimmed, the ship steered and those who want to learn the finer points of navigation will be taught. There is no obligation to do anything, just enjoy looking out over the sea and having good conversations, it is all possible. For optimum relaxation (and maximum convenience), this trip can be extended to include a train journey to the base and back home from the arrival base. STI Races

In 2022 Thalassa will again be present at the STI races. A Sail Training International trip starting in Esbjerg in July, followed by a sailing race to Harlingen. After the in-port event in Harlingen (Thalassa's home port) we sail on to the beautiful city of Antwerp where we expect a nice and special event with our southern neighbours. After Antwerp follows another frequently and gladly visited port, Aalborg, where the in-port event Sail Aalborg will take place. For possible participation in the races between the various ports you can find information on the website of Windseeker.

Milesmaker Scotland-Germany, 10 September-17 September 2022

After several sailing weeks in Scotland, the ship will set sail for Germany, Rostock. On the 10th of September 2022, the ship will leave Oban for Rostock and arrive there on the 17th of September. A nice trip to experience at close quarters the ins and outs of a skilfully sailed Tall Ship. This trip can be found on our website.
